I'm a Montreal-based Creative Director, Animator, and Technologist.
In 1999 I founded Presstube and we've been creating magical digital products and experiences ever since.
A strong background in both animation and software development provide the insight to spot high-level creative solutions which are also technically feasible.
We've created innovative projects for a diverse range of brands like Google, Björk, Unity, Mick Jagger, FiftyThree, Sony, Burton, Nike, and Marshmallow Laser Feast, and are interested in working with big and small clients alike.
Over the years I've been a regular speaker at premier creative conferences (OFFF, Eyeo, Reasons, FITC), and my work has been shown in galleries and museums all over the world (Centre Pompidou, London Design Museum, bitforms).
"James has the magical combination of being incredibly creative, amazingly adept at the technical aspect of getting things built, and an infectiously positive person who is an absolute delight to work with. James worked for me at FiftyThree designing and building next generation prototypes and tools, without which, many of our far-out ideas would never have been possible. There is truly only one James Paterson, and I hope one day to do something special with him again."
- Andrew Allen, Co-Founder / Head of Design at FiftyThree
Themed kits of demented 3D clip-art, hand-sculpted and painted in VR by James Paterson and Jeremy Felker.
Play with our kits! Arrange them - animate them - incorporate them into a game - 3D print a life sized companion out of them.
All we ask is that you credit @presstube wherever used, pretty please.
